While all the work on this site, as well as several others, is mine, it still takes significant education, use of third-party tools, images, many samples in books & around the web, and discussions with real people. Many are listed below.

a UJS production would like to pass along our thanks to:

Client & Employer Related

  • Where would we be without daily challenges?
  • Glad to have the opportunities!
  • Bring them on...

AJAX Related

Books

  • WROX - the big RED books.
  • p2p - programmer to programmer (WROX). Useful to see what others are doing or having trouble with.

CSS Related

  • meyerweb.com - Author Eric Meyer. His thoughts & challenges about CSS.
  • 456 Berea Street - Roger is a great advocate for design, accessibility, and standards. Highly Recommend!
  • W3C Schools - World Wide Web Consortium. Must have reference.

Design Related

  • AvengersForever.org - Brian's website - a great help viewing the work of others in the world of web design. As my head's "in the code", I can't keep up with all things design - but it sure helps to "stir the waters" by viewing creative works of others!
  • ALISTapart.org - great design articles. Learned a lot.
  • Jakob Nielsen - good useful information. The small shops of the world say thanks for your public articles.
  • TOG - Bruce is a good read. You can find some in-depth discussion here on subjects you don't normally find elsewhere.

Programming Related

  • Borland - except for a couple of earlier college courses, my programming really started with TP3, continued to TP for Windows 1.5, and a bit o' Turbo C++.
  • TurboPower Object Professional - great tools for Turbo Pascal. Part of my first 10 years of programming.
  • Microsoft - Visual Basic 5.0 and onward to Visual Studio, VB.NET, ASP.NET, etc. current editions.
  • Joel on Software - a fun read. Speaks on the level of "real". Good info about starting & running a software/tech business. I really liked the "Aardvark" movie, the discussions on how to manage, and his advocacy for New York. But Joel... even though I prefer the Midwest and the rural atmosphere - I still like to look in on your thoughts. Thanks for making them available...
  • 15 seconds - found great info early in ASP career. Hi Remie…

School Related

  • Where would any of us be without education? I know my early teachers are saying "I told you so", as I try to get the points to sink in for my own students...
  • Keep at it.
  • Enjoy the challenges and keep it fun!
